In an exclusive 3 day workshop on Transformational Reconstruction (TR), our faculty members learnt the techniques and tricks from none other than the world famous Japanese couture designer Shingo Sato. His TR technique is very much different from the conventional pattern making representing the 3-D fashion creations.
He has conducted his workshops in various parts of the world including USA, UK, Colombia, Japan, Italy, et al and TR workshops and seminars at London Central Saint Martins College of Art, London College of Fashion, Parsons Paris School of design etc.
In these 3 days of workshop, Shingo taught many things inclusive of concept on a half bodice, Volume Conceptual transformation on a half skirt, TR Draping basic, Twisted draping, Sach integration draping, Origami pocket , Box integration technique, Balloon technique and Sleeve Transformation.
Our faculty members learnt a lot from this workshop and it was an eye opener for them refreshing the basic techniques of pattern making.
