Noida design carnival is a one-of-its-kind fest that showcases the work of the graduating students of the campus. It is a unique way to thank our students – by giving them a platform to showcase their work, while also getting a chance to get inspiration from impeccable design leaders. This year the theme of this fest was #MadeToCreate – in sync with the ethos of the 25-year-old leading design school from the country.
Like every year, this year too was full of designers, fashionistas, and industry experts. Various workshops, performing arts, and expert talks were conducted in this one-day event of design #NodiaDesignCarnival2017.
The day started with the workshops on design immersion, where students participated in the workshop to showcase their work. The workshops were very inspiring for the aspirants and enthusiasts as well. Lots of school students took part in the seminar and got a deeper understanding of the thoughts behind the design.
Post the workshop sessions; the Asmita Theatre Group conducted a street play on ‘Women Molestation and Empowerment.’ It was a fantastic act and left a serious message for the society.
In the afternoon, the event rose to the next level, with a series of expert talks with renowned personalities like filmmakers Meera and Muzzaffar Ali, theatre director Arvind Gaur, textile designer Peter d’Ascoli and Manil and Rohit Gupta from The Creative Network. The industry experts shared their views on design and discussed and enlightened aspiring designers about the future of design & art industry.
There were lots of stalls where students showcased their designs. Though the designs and artwork showcased were raw and straightforward, but there was craftsmanship in every model and justifying in its nature.
The carnival was concluded with a gala fashion show. There were around five groups from the graduating class that participated in the fashion show and showcased their designs to the public. Design, formation, and entertainment at the same time.
This one day carnival was packed with lots of fun-filled activities, where students showcased their unique and innovative thoughts around Design and Art.
