India at Cannes Film Festival 2022 | A roundup of the best of fashion - Pearl Academy

Many best-dressed celebrities came together on the event’s famous steps which are exclusively reserved for professionals of the film industry.
India was the ‘Country of Honour’ at Marche du Film for its 75th edition in its 75th year of independence. Baffling, right? Deepika Padukone debuted as one of the Jury members in the magnificent film festival. From veteran and debutant actors to digital creators, India walked the red carpet with oomph. It’s a momentous affair for the fashion industry and the celebrities not only took up the space but owned it graciously!

Let’s get a rundown on larger-than-life looks that turned heads, shall we?

1. Dazzling Deepika Padukone
Clad in custom Sabyasachi saree, the actor represented her Indian roots exquisitely. The black and gold striped embellished saree is a representation of the Bengal Tiger and her eye make-up brought the drama back to the floor.

2. Alluring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
The Cannes veteran herself, Aishwarya made headlines with her pink Valentino monochrome look styled by our very own alumna Aastha Sharma, making it a spellbinding moment for Pearl Academy.

3. Transcendental Tamannaah Bhatia
The Cannes debutant, Tamannaah Bhatia left us stupefied by gracing the carpet in a Gauri & Nainika duchess gown, which was complemented with regal diamonds.

4. Heavenly Hina Khan
Her sartorial picks are eye candy for the spectators. Swaddled in a deep red strapless gown from the label Rami Al Ali, Hina looked ravishing. No doubt the emerging Khan is a fashion force.

5. Magnificent Masoom Minawal Mehta
Globally recognised fashion and lifestyle influencer, Masoom Minawala Mehta marked her second appearance at Cannes this year. She was spotted in a custom made Amit Aggarwal, a true style fiesta.

6. Amicable Anne Hathaway
An epitome of beauty, Anne graced the red carpet in custom Armani Privé. She looked elegant in a bandeau top and high-waisted column skirt which plunged to the floor followed by a dramatic train. A “Mediterranean Reverie” necklace with a cushion-cut sapphire pendant completed the look.

7. Dignified Diipa Buller-Khosla
Another global influencer on the list has been walking the Cannes red carpet for five years now. She was spotted in a custom Manish Malhotra designed saree with feather details on the blouse, a true symbol of tranquillity.
