We hosted our latest round of Creative Career Conclave (CCC) at Chitnavis Center in Nagpur. CCC is a platform to bring the representatives from creative industries face to face with the parents and students to sort the latters’ queries, doubts and fears regarding a career in the design domain. Prof. Vikas Satwelkar – an accomplished design academician, Mrs. Amruta Ranade Fadnavis – AVP Axis Bank, Mr. Vivek Ranade – Visual Artist, Illustrator and Photographer along with Ms. Bulbul Chaudhary – Director of Pearl Academy’s Mumbai campus came together as the esteemed speakers at the conclave and addressed an audience of students and parents in Nagpur on 21st December, 2014.
Mrs. Amruta Fadnavis, Associate VP, Axis Bank, said, “With the changing economy in India and fattening career avenues in new age and unconventional domains such as design, advertising, fashion, creative businesses, media et al, the years to come shall witness a great demand for skilled professionals in these areas. These industries are lucrative, growing exponentially and offering global opportunities. The role of design institutes such as Pearl Academy in contributing to the talent pool of creative industries is appreciative.”
“It’s also time that we let our children pursue the careers which suit their passion and be rest assured that India is geared to offer ample opportunities in creative industries. The millennial generation is very smart and knows what it wants. The so called SAFE careers such as MBA, Engineering, CA, etc. don’t interest them anymore. They want to explore the untouched horizons and carve a niche for themselves. I request parents to support & guide them to achieve their dreams.” added Mrs. Amruta Fadnavis.
Ms. Bulbul Chaudhary, Director, Pearl Academy-Mumbai campus, said, “Creative Career Conclave is an initiative that we started, keeping in mind the existing need of parents and students to look beyond the conventional careers. The interactive platform successfully achieved the aim of sharing the knowledge of immense possibilities available in the design domain. Basis each individual’s creative intelligence, the world of design has so many careers to offer that would not only make the designers grow in India but also open a gateway for them to work with intellectual at foreign shores. Through such conclaves, our larger agenda is to create a direction for students, looking at opting for careers that might not be seen as the most favorable ones due to the lack of information on the kind of future that they might have after pursuing a creative course in various fields of design, creative businesses and fashion.”
Pearl Academy has completed two decades of empowering creative minds. Each of the esteemed personalities addressed the students, giving insights into prolific ways to use their innovative bent of mind. The conclave was well received by all the participants who expressed their interest in future conclave and interactive platforms of similar nature.
