Jaipur, 1^st November 2014: Pearl Academy, India’s leading institute of design, fashion and related business courses, holds its 6^th Convocation Ceremony at its Kukas based campus in Jaipur today. The ceremony conferred degrees/diploma to the graduates of Under-Graduate Courses i.e. Fashion Design, Jewellery Design and Textile Design along with Post Graduate course in Fashion Designing. Sh. B L Joshi, Former Hon’ble Governor, Uttar Pradesh, graced the event with his presence as its Chief Guest. Pearlites Aanchal Saraogi, Dheeraj Kumar, Srishti Arora and Sonal Gupta won Best Academic Performance Awards in their respective courses.

The commencement of the event was marked by lighting the lamps followed by floral welcome by Pearlites. Dr. Veena Dutta, Director, Pearl Academy, Jaipur, welcomed the students, guests and said, “The world is full of challenges and opportunities. It’s up-to you how you tackle with the challenges and avail the opportunities. The mentors at Pearl Academy have provided our students with the best of their knowledge and experiences which will help Pearlites to excel in their respective spheres and make us proud in the coming future. We wish them all the very best.”

She blessed the students and inspired them to do their bit towards the society. “A very important purpose of attaining education is to give back to the society and to create opportunities. It will be a great moment of joy and pride to see these graduating Pearlites working towards some important issues ailing our society and doing their bit to become a better human being and citizen.” said Dr. Veena Dutta.

Sh. B L Joshi, Former Hon’ble Governor, Uttar Pradesh, emphasized on the importance of developing new perspectives and innovation and said that, “Best creators were always those who listened to the signals from the noise around and made the best use of it.” he added.

Mr. Sharad Mehra, CEO, Pearl Academy, said, “While studying at the Academy, these students have won many competitions, accolades and gave us more reasons to deliver the best of education, industry exposure and international expertise to develop their talent to the fullest. It gives me immense pleasure to say that these young and bright designers have done brilliantly in their academics. And, I am sure that they will taste success in the professional world bringing more glory to their alma mater.”

The convocation ceremony was organized in the auditorium of Pearl Academy which was jam-packed with enthusiastic graduating students, parents and members of the Academy. It turned out to be a memorable day for everybody, especially the students who were capturing the moments of joy in their cameras, clicking selfies and making videos.
