On the 15th of April ‘14, Pearl Academy launched its all-new campus in one of India’s most creative cities- Mumbai. This launch set a new milestone for Peal Academy all together. For the very first time, Pearl Academy has come together with the successful and very talented Sussanne Roshan in light to Ignite Creativity by joining hands with the academy offering ‘The Charcoal Project National Scholarship’.
“It is really exciting for Mumbai that Pearl Academy is coming to the city,” says Sussanne Roshan at the launch. This full four year long scholarship will be offered to three highly motivated, ambitious and talented students in the creative industry and three other students will get the opportunity to attend the amazing ‘Artfest’ at Santa Fe College of Art & Design in Santa Fe, USA. The ‘ArtFest’ is a full paid 3 weeks long festival where artists, designers and students from more than 40 countries participate.
Pearl Academy has set a very high benchmarks in the quality of education, employability, international exposure and has presented numerous successful alumni to multiple creative industries in the last 20 years. Sharad Mehra (CEO, Pearl Academy) says Pearl Academy is committed to replicate the same in Mumbai.
At the event, Alumni’s & Sussanne Roshan emphasized greatly on the term ‘Inspiration’ and what it means to them.
“Who do you take inspiration from? Above every other voice you listen to your heart. You listen to your heart and you know the right direction.
Bandra 190 is a concept store where Charcoal project is held. There is no agenda. Take a step at a time. If it feels right, then do it.
Continue to something meaningful and contribute to the lives of young design students. It is important to have inspiration and have a mentor.”
